Madelaine Mae Dack (she/they) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design at the University of Alberta. Originally from Norfolk, England, they now reside and work in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Madelaine’s work features a combination of sculpture, painting and media arts, alongside elements of collage and animation. Her work documents modern society’s increasing reliance on digital resources, not only for educational and recreational fulfillment, but also as a primary route for connecting with each other. Drawing on imagery from her childhood, she uses the process of creating work to develop an intentional presence in the mundanity of day to day life.
